Corvallis Poetry Slam

A blog about the Corvallis Poetry Slam at Iovino's

Wednesday, November 09, 2005

hope to see you tonight!

Tonight is Volume 3 of the slam! And while Colin and I have put up some posters and sent out a few emails, we're kind of hoping on word of mouth for this baby (because man, we are so busy). But this should be an awesome show, with features Katz of Athens Boys Choir and Scott Turner. Let's show our features (and Corvallis) that there is a poetry, art, and spoken word scene in this town!

Hope to see you there! Bring some buddies, some poetry, some love of the spoken word!

In case you're interested in more info: Athens Boys Choir's Website.

See you at 9:30 at Iovino's (on First Street)

Hearts!

Michael

Just a suggestion, but could you announce the open mic nights as well, say, at least a few days in advance?

I can never quite remember when they are and having to scan text for something like "First Wednesday of the Month" is kind of painful. And maybe others stumbling across the site might want to know?

Maybe the bottom of each post should have a mini-calendar of upcoming poetry/literary events?

Or maybe I'm your only reader, in which case, nevermind. ;)

actually, you may be one of the three readers of this thing. i'm not kidding. there could be more, I'm not sure. whatever.

Wes from Iovino's actually runs a mailing list for the Open Mic Nights and has more information in that regards. sadly, i can't for the life of me recall what the e-mail address is his mailings, but you could aski him on the next one this coming Dec. 7th. i noticed that Michael has added the remaining slam dates for the Pints and Poetry series on the lefthand side of the blog, so that ought to help as well.

feel free to hit us up with an e-mail too. hope I've helped out!
